The Mine Manager is responsible for the safe, efficient, and profitable operation of a mining site, ensuring production targets are met while complying with all legal, environmental, and safety regulations. The role involves strategic planning, resource management, and leadership of large multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities 1. Operational Management
Oversee daily mining operations (open-pit or underground).
Develop and implement short- and long-term mine plans (5-year horizon).
Optimize production schedules to meet tonnage and grade targets.
2. Safety & Compliance
Enforce MHSA (Mine Health and Safety Act) and DMRE regulations.
Conduct safety audits and risk assessments (HIRA).
Ensure compliance with ISO 45001 (OHS) and ISO 14001 (Environmental).
